MY50 Countdown to Christmas Contest

OFFICIAL RULES 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

 

HOW TO ENTER

 

  1. The MY50 Christmas Countdown contest will begin on Friday, November 29th at 7:00 pm and end on Wednesday, December 25th at 12:00:00am local time in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

     

  2. To participate in the contest, you must enter via the following method(s):  Contestants must log onto the MY50 website at www.my50.tv. Go to contests and register where you will enter the “code word” of the day to enter to win the prize of the day.  You must have the correct “code word” in order to enter. You must watch at least one of the VJ segments in order to get the “code word”. The “code word” will be revealed once during each of the six VJ segments that air between 7:00pm and 11:00pm M-F, Friday, November 29th – Tuesday, December 24th. You must enter to win each day for that day’s prize by 11:59:59pm of that day.

     

  3. KASY, “The Station is not responsible for Internet transmission errors, illegible entries, service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent transmitting his/her entry.”

     

  4. One Entry per person, per day for this contest. Dates of entry are Monday – Friday beginning on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 7:00pm and end on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 12:01:00am local time in Albuquerque, NM.

 

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

 

  1. The contest is open to all KASY viewers who are 18 years of age or older and who legally reside in the KASY viewing area. Employees of KASY (the “Station”), its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other television stations in the KASY viewing area and the members of their immediate families [AND/OR HOUSEHOLDS] are ineligible to participate or win. Winners are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited.

     

  2. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Station contest.

 

PRIZES

 

  1. There are 18 days of prizes. Each day’s prize is featured in the VJ segment of that day. Prizes vary in value as listed below. Prizes listed are dated for the day they are being featured. The drawing for that item will be the following morning.

 

  • November 29, 2013 – Samson R11 Microphone (approximate retail value $50) and 8 boxes of NM Chili (approximate retail value $50) from Lesman’s Audio.
  • December 2, 2013 – $50 gift certificate for any vehicle service or repair from Recarnation (retail value $50).
  • December 3, 2013 - $50 gift card to Universal Superstore from Universal Superstore (retail value $50).
  • December 4, 2013 - $50 gift certificate to Clark’s Pet Emporium from Clark’s Pet Emporium (retail value $50).
  • December 5, 2013 – American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin (approximate retail value $60) from Albuquerque Coin.
  • December 6, 2013 – Krytonite Series II Bike Lock (approximate retail value $50) from Sandia Cycle.
  • December 9, 2013 - $50 gift card to The Moon Gifts from The Moon Gifts (retail value $50).
  • December 10, 2013 – gift certificate for a watch set (approximate retail value $69.96) from Domes Caps.
  • December 11, 2013 - $50 gift certificate for Hookah Kings from Hookah Kings (retail value $50).
  • December 12, 2013 - $50 Visa cash card from Brown Mackie (retail value $50).
  • December 13, 2013 – (used) acoustic guitar from Pawn City (approximate retail value $120).
  • December 16, 2013 – (new) Cabelas camouflage hunting jacket (approximate retail value $90) from Play It Again Sports.
  • December 17, 2013 - $50 gift certificate to Trend One from Trend One (retail value of $50).
  • December 18, 2013 – one month free membership at Planet Fitness from Planet Fitness (retail value of $50).
  • December 19, 2013- $50 gift certificate to NM Golf Now from NM Golf Now (retail value of $50).
  • December 20, 2013 - $50 gift card to China King from China King (retail value $50). Note: Gift Card is for food only, alcoholic beverages may not be purchased.
  • December 23, 2013 - $50 gift card to Baila Fitness from Baila Fitness (retail value $50).
  • December 24, 2013 - $50 gift care to China King from China King (retail value of $50). Note: Gift Card is for food only, alcoholic beverages may not be purchased.
  1. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below.  The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed by Friday, January 10, 2014. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss.  The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate. Prizes or prize certificates may be picked up during office hours of Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Albuquerque, NM time.

     

  2. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash.  The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.

 

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

 

  1. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the contest are final.

     

  2. Winners need not be present to win. Random drawings of eligible entrants will occur on each weekday Monday – Friday after the dates listed in the Prizes Section above at approximately 9:30am Albuquerque, NM time for the prize mentioned the day prior during the VJ Segments. The drawing for Thursday, Dec 25th will take place on Monday, December 30th. A total of 18 winners will be selected, 1 per day during the stated times above. The daily entries with the correct “code word” will be eligible to win that day’s prize only. Each day from Friday, November 29, 2013 – Tuesday, December 24, 2013 will have a different prize and “code word” (one code word per night will be repeated during each VJ segment of the night). You must enter the correct “code word” each day to be eligible for each day’s prize.

     

  3. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received, as applicable.

     

  4. The winners will be selected at random by UPICKEM from all complete and eligible entries received. The winners will be notified on the day their name is drawn via email. The winners will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed by 5:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2014.

 

CONDITIONS

 

  1. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

     

  2. By participating in the contest, participants agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.  The Website’s Terms of Service apply to any online portions of this Contest.

     

  3. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

     

  4. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. “If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.”

     

  5. Failure to comply with the contest rules or the Station’s website Terms of Service may result in an entrant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.

     

  6. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.

     

  7. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of MY50 KASY TV.
