1. HOW TO ENTER
a. The “KRQE News 13 GAS GIVEAWAY” contest will begin on Friday, April 27, 2012 and end on Friday, May 25, 2012. Contest will air Monday-Friday only.
b. To participate in the contest, entrants must watch KRQE NEWS 13 between 4:30 AM and 7:00 AM. During the broadcast, a code will be given and viewers will be instructed to log on to KRQE.com to enter the correct code word.
c. To enter you must register on KRQE.com under “KRQE Mornings”. Registration is free.

The Station is not responsible for Internet transmission errors, illegible entries, service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent transmitting his/her entry. After registering and answering three questions about KRQE News 13’s HD newscast, entrants will then be able to submit the day’s CODE WORD by clicking on the ‘ENTER CONTEST’ tab.
d. Every entrant who correctly enters the CODE WORD OF THE DAY for that day and gives their input about KRQE NEWS 13’s newscast will be eligible for that day's drawing. Viewers will have until 4:00 p.m. that day to enter the morning’s code. Drawings are only taken from eligible pool from each day. If an eligible entry does not win a drawing, then it will no longer be considered (except for the alternate procedure below), and a new entry will be required to be considered for any future weekday drawing.
Random drawings will be done via the auto-select system, UPickEm, and will be done the day of each morning clue. Only those who correctly enter the code word will be included in the random drawing.
e. Only one entry per person per day. If an individual from a household wins one weekday prize nobody from that household will be eligible for future drawings. If no individual from the household wins a prize in an earlier daily drawing, members of the household may enter subsequent drawings.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The contest is open to all KRQE NEWS 13 viewers who are 18 years of age or older and who legally reside in KRQE NEWS 13 viewing area. Employees of KRQE NEWS 13 (the “Station”), its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other television stations in the New Mexico television market and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
b. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Station contest
c. Entrants must register on KRQE.com under the “KRQE Mornings” section and, if a winner, provide proof of identification and age to claim their prize.
3. PRIZES
a. The ten weekday prizes during the contest will be $100 gas card redeemable at any Circle K Convenience Store in New Mexico. The ten gas cards will be given away each weekday morning during the contest period with only ten winners per day. Total Winners per week: 50. Total Winners for Contest: 200.
b. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within forty-five (45) days of winning. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. The Station will announce the previous day's prize winner between 4:30 and 7:00 AM. Friday winners will be announced the following Monday between 4:30 and 7:00 AM. The last code word will be announced on Thursday, May 24, 2012, and the last winners will be announced on Friday, May 25, 2011.
c. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received.
d. Winners must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within ten (10) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen by random drawing of qualified entrants. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize.
5. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.
e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in an entrant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.
f. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
g. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of KRQE NEWS 13,
