New Mexico Poison Prevention Contest

1. HOW TO ENTER

The New Mexico Poison Prevention Contest will begin on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 12:01:00 am and end on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 12:01:00 am

National Poison Prevention Week is March 17- 23, 2013. National Poison Prevention Week is observed in the United States the third week of March. The goal of the week is to raise awareness of the risk of being poisoned by household products, medicines, pesticides, plants, bites and stings, food poisoning, and fumes. Awareness being duly raised, it is hoped that this will prevent poisoning.

In observance of National Poison Prevention Week, enter to win two (2) VIP Tickets to see the “Jersey Boys” at Popejoy Hall on the University of New Mexico Campus on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.  The package also includes two (2) Jersey Boys coffee table books.

The Jersey Boys will be performed at Popejoy Hall on the University of New Mexico Campus on Wednesday, may 22, 2013 at 7:30 pm.  Popejoy Hall is located at 203 Cornell Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87131, Central and Cornell. 

There is one phase to the contest and one winner.  The Winner will be selected at random by UPICKEM from all complete and eligible entries received.      

b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method(s): Contestants must log onto KASA.com, "Contests", and click on New Mexico Poison Prevention Contest to register to win. 

c. KRQE | KASA, “The Station is not responsible for Internet transmission errors, illegible entries, service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent transmitting his/her entry.”

d. One Entry per person, per day for this contest.

Dates of entry begin Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 12:01:00 am and end on Friday, March 22, 2013 12:01:00 am

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The contest is open to all KRQE | KASA viewers who are 18 years of age or older and who legally reside in KRQE | KASA viewing area.  Employees of KRQE | KASA (the “Station”), its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other television stations in the KRQE | KASA viewing area and the members of their immediate families [AND/OR HOUSEHOLDS] are ineligible to participate or win.  The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited.

b. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Station contest. 

3. PRIZES

There will be one (1) winner selected at random by UPICKEM from all complete and eligible entries received. The winner will receive the following prizes related to the New Mexico Poison Prevention Contest.

Two (2) VIP Tickets to see the “Jersey Boys” at Popejoy Hall on the University of New Mexico Campus on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.  The package also includes two (2) Jersey Boys coffee table books.

The approximate retail value is $260.00.  These are Reserved Seat Tickets and may not be used or exchanged for any show or time other than the one designated on the ticket.    

b. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below.  The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within five (5) business days of winning and another winner will be selected via random drawing.

c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash.  The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the contest are final.

b. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND UPON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES RECEIVED, AS APPLICABLE.

c. Winner need not be present to win.  The drawing will occur on Monday, March 25, 2013.  The winner will be notified via email on Monday, March 25, 2013 after 9:00:00 am.

d. The Winner will be selected at random by UPICKEM from all complete and eligible entries received.  The winner will be notified on the date listed above via email.  If a potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) business days or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize and another winner will be selected at random.  If prize(s) are not picked up by the winner within 30 days, the prize is forfeited and returned to the sponsor.

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

b. By participating in the contest, participants agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.  The Website’s Terms of Service apply to any online portions of this Contest.

c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

d. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.  “If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

e. Failure to comply with the contest rules or the Station’s website Terms of Service may result in an entrant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.

f. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.

g. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of KRQE | KASA - 13 Broadcast Plaza, Albuquerque New Mexico 87104.
